The Employability Incubator Programme, A Game Changer. Attending the Employability Incubator Programme in 2022 was a transformative experience one that reshaped my perspective, boosted my confidence, and expanded my aspirations. It gave me the opportunity to dream bigger and envision a future of continuous personal and professional growth.
I am incredibly grateful for this experience, as it has been a stepping stone to greater opportunities in my career and personal development. A heartfelt thank you to CampusLab Nigeria for this invaluable platform and for empowering young professionals to thrive.
The program really helped me prepare for job interviews and get ready for the workplace. Right from the start, the program gave me clear guidance on the job search process. The hands-on workshops and one-on-one mentoring sessions taught me how to improve my resume, communicate better, and handle tough interview questions with confidence. This program made a big difference, and it helped me land job offers right after finishing school.
One thing I am most grateful for is how the program focused on real-life skills. I learned not just how to interview well, but also how to work effectively once I got the job. The practical lessons and tips made it easier for me to adjust to the work environment and succeed in my new role.
Campus lab (sic) was that light ball moment. It was enlightening and transformative. Learning about self discovery and how to harness my inner strength to be the best version of myself. Listening and gaining wisdom from industry experts too was a great inspiration and motivation. Also, the opportunity to meet and engage with other young and brilliant minds enriched my network
My experience at the CampusLabs Employability Incubator was truly transformative. I gained invaluable insights into how the workplace operates, especially the critical role self-awareness plays in communication within a professional environment. The program provided a hands-on opportunity to understand and experience the true essence of teamwork and leadership, teaching me how effective leadership directly contributes to a team's success.
One of the standout moments for me was pitching for funding for an idea during the closing ceremony. It was my first time doing so, and it gave me a practical understanding of what it takes to present ideas convincingly and professionally.
The training at CampusLabs went beyond just teaching workplace ethics; it created a practical environment that mirrored the workplace, allowing us to apply what we learned in real-time. This holistic approach not only enhanced my professional skills but also gave me the confidence to step into the world of work fully prepared.
Employability Incubator 2023 was my major highlight for that year, as a Corper, it was all I needed to transition into the next phase of life. My name is Aiyedogbon Oluwatunmise Israel, and I was among the 50 participants in Campuslabs Nigeria's EI Class of 2023.
It was a full package: 2 months of intensive training. I got to learn from men and women of substance, and the lecture that stood out for me was about emotional intelligence. The lecture was beautiful, the teaching slides was the best I have seen so far, and the scenarios were very engaging.
Glad to also inform the world that I landed my first job through EI. My current company was our Business Case Scenario Pitchathon—now a Leadership Development Program Trainee in that company for almost a year and counting. Before then, I utilized one of the skills (networking) and received a one month all paid mentorship with Hon. Seyi Adisa.
The amazing peers that have become family are amazing, I learned from each of them, from Critical thinking, to Slides Design and composure. I wish EI could happen again; I would gladly be a part of it.
